Four signs that he’s into you
It’s the month of love, where you see couples holding hands on their romantic walks by the dozen. You can see them on the street, on the beach, at work, in college, in your building’s lobby, at the playground and almost every other place that falls within your line of sight. Basically, it’s the worst month of the year to be single. However, if that’s the way you feel, you need to realize that there is a whole bunch of guys out there who too feel the same way. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, is looking for a valentine; and as much as we all love our pets, we wouldn’t want to spend the 14th of February with them.
But here’s the problem, most guys out there who are single are kind of shy to open up (which is why most of them are single in the first place). You need to tell the signs; their awkward glances and their lamentations over wines. But let’s not take the blame away from us; women are as guilty for being single as men, because we just don’t tell the obvious signs of a guy being interested in us. This may be due to a variety of causes, some of those being that we view the guy as ‘just a friend’, or he may be a lot older than you; but let’s not forget that a lot of women choose dating a rich older man and becoming sugar babies, and quite enjoy themselves while doing it. No reason then why you should have reservations against it, variety is an essential component of life.
A few of these tell-tale signs of a guy being interested in you include, but are not limited to:
- Starting a pointless conversation: Why else would a guy do it unless he’s interested in talking to you. True that the first few times is not an indicator of it, but if the phenomenon happens to be a persisting one, maybe you should give it some deeper thought.
- Helping you out without being asked: No one, expect one’s closest friends and family, goes out of their way to help another person. If you have a guy around who’s been doing it, remember that he’s doing it with the expectation of a cookie sometime in the near future.
- He gets things for you: Flowers are the obvious giveaway, but guys have other ways to express themselves as well; chocolates are one such popular way. It’s something like how your pet cat occasionally turns up with a pigeon in her jaws and drops it at your feet. So, if you have someone who’s been giving you these ‘surprises’, maybe you should think of a payback sometime soon.
- Showers you with compliments: It shouldn’t surprise you that this one makes the list, but we tend to ignore it in cases of people who we meet often, say at work or in college. But trust me on this one, if a guy compliments you on a regular basis, he’s trying to make you feel good; and there’s only one reason why men do that.
